BVCTV is supported financially by grants, donations and memberships. We will continue to promote an increase in memberships, both in working members and supporting members. Supporting members include individuals, family, non-profit (Churches & organizations), business associates and grantors. Funding is required to cover our normal operation expenses as well as the need to continually update studio equipment in order to modernize TV production methods.
BVCTV's membership is about 150 supporting members. All work is performed on a volunteer basis, and equipment, rent and operational expenses are funded as noted above. Some 12 to 15 hours of weekly programming is produced and telecast by 10 to 20 active volunteers.
Like most non-profit organizations, Bella Vista Community TV Association (BVCTV) depends soley on volunteers. Active volunteers, that is, work a variety of shifts and perform numerous duties. BVCTV welcomes prospective new volunteers to stop by the studio and observe us in action. Prior experience is helpful but not a necessity. You may find this a rewarding outlet for your creative talents.
The Association is governed by a seven-member Board of Directors, and the Studio is operated by a station manager. Each year three members are elected to the Board and a station manager is appointed. Board of Directors meetings are held the first Wednesday of each even month.
